MOVIE BLOG ASSIGNMENT

WHITE CHICKS
Marcus and Kevin become discredited by their boss after an unsuccessful mission early in the film and quickly hope to earn respect back from the agency by taking on a new case. They are assigned to protect wealthy twins, Brittany and Tiffany Wilson from a possible kidnapping over Labor Day weekend in the Hamptons. The brothers are asked to bring the girls from the airport to the Hamptons, but when they get into a small accident on the way, the girls refuse to leave their hotel due to some minor cuts and bruises and fear of embarrassment. In order to keep their jobs Marcus and Kevin decide to transform themselves from black men to white women, and they head off to the Hamptons disguised as Brittany and Tiffany.When they arrive they develop a series of relationships with a group of Brittany and Tiffany’s girl friends as well as various other characters, all of which believe that they are the real Wilson sisters.

The opening of this movie demonstrates 3 rules of a strong hook found on pages 338-339. They open with protagonists  Kevin and Marcus. They open with conflict, the opening scene involves Kevin and Marcus getting in trouble with their boss and lastly, the scene had lots of movement. The movement was when Kevin and Marcus were fighting the ice cream delivery guys mistaken them for drug dealers.
